A man wanted for shooting a Texas police officer and raising a Blue Alert has been arrested in North Texas.

According to online police records, Seth Altman was arrested Friday in Fort Worth.

The circumstances of his arrest were not immediately clear, but online records show police were investigating a report of a wanted person near the Union Gospel Mission Shelter in the 1300 block of E Lancaster Avenue.

Fort Worth police confirm Altman was taken into custody without incident.

Altman was on Texas’ 10 most wanted fugitives list after he was accused of shooting a Memphis, Texas, police officer on October 3. That officer was taken to the hospital in critical condition but was released several days later.

In the early hours of October 4, a Blue Alert was sent out, triggering a series of complaints to the FCC.

Although Altman had not yet been caught, the altar was canceled on October 16.

Altman was booked into the Tarrant County Jail. He is charged with attempted murder of a police officer and is being held on $1 million bail.
