Sniffing case: “60 people are being investigated” – TopNews

Around 60 people are being investigated in the course of investigations by the Milan Anti-Mafia and Anti-Terrorism Directorate DDA and the National Anti-Mafia Office of the DNA for alleged massive “packaging” of dossiers through the illegal acquisition of confidential information, mainly strategic Databases investigating the Italian business community, judicial sources said on Saturday.


Among the people under investigation are the entrepreneurs who were involved in producing these reports on behalf of a hacking group, the sources said.


According to prosecutors, these entrepreneurs were aware of the illegal information gathering.


The public prosecutor’s office had requested 16 arrests and the investigating judge (GIP) ordered house arrest for four and pre-trial detention for two of the people under investigation, making a total of six arrests.
