BALTIMORE– The weather forecast for this weekend looks great and another stretch of spectacular weather is expected into next week.

A cold front will bring cool and windy conditions this afternoon and tonight. We can expect peak gusts between 15 and 20 miles per hour at times. If you want to enjoy the day outside, be sure to secure hats and costumes and add the long sleeves. We will enjoy a lot of sun today with high temperatures around 60°C. A rush of cooler air will move in this evening, dropping temperatures into the low 30s and low 40s by Sunday morning.

High temperatures Sunday afternoon will only reach the mid to upper 50s to near 60 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Sunday night into Monday morning will be the coldest time of the week, with temperatures outside the Beltway dropping into the low 30s. Extensive frost is to be expected. A frost watch is in effect Sunday night through early Monday morning.

After a cool start to the work week, temperatures are gradually warming up. High temperatures on Monday will reach into the lower 60s. Temperatures will rise as the week progresses, reaching the high 60s on Tuesday, near 70 degrees on Tuesday, and well into the 70s on Wednesday.

Halloween looks fantastic for trick-or-treaters, with lots of sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures across the region. Many locations will see high temperatures near 80 degrees Thursday afternoon, making it one of the warmest Halloween days on record.

A cold front will move in on Thursday night, which is expected to lower temperatures slightly by the end of the week. A few showers are possible, but at the moment this front also looks low in moisture.
