A man is killed in a shooting in South Baltimore

BALTIMORE – A man died after being shot Friday evening, according to Baltimore City Police.

At approximately 9 p.m., an officer was in the 1700 block of Washington Boulevard when he was approached by a person who informed him that a person had been shot near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and South Monroe Street.

The officer ran to the scene and found an unknown man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the victim dead.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and are investigating the incident.
