A sunny weekend is in store for Minnesota, with highs near record highs next week

MINNEAPOLIS – It’s a cool but sunny start to the weekend in Minnesota, with temperatures rising and near record temperatures next week.

Saturday morning began with temperatures in the high 30s in the Twin Cities, with temperatures dipping into the low 20s in some places across the state, such as Bemidji.

Sunshine will continue into Sunday, with highs remaining around 60 degrees. Clouds gather as the evening progresses.

The 70s will reach near record-breaking highs on Tuesday and Wednesday, but shower chances increase Wednesday evening and even a few rumbles of thunder are possible.

Rain showers may occur on Halloween morning, but should clear by trick-or-treating time.
