Man shot in shooting at Northwest Side apartment complex, SAPD says

According to officials, a man in his early 20s was found in an apartment with an apparent gunshot wound

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police said they are investigating what led to a fatal shooting on the Northwest Side Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the scene of an apartment complex in the 5300 block of Fredericksburg Road just after 4 a.m.

A caller told SAPD that he heard gunshots coming from an apartment and that several shots went through the caller’s walls.

While officers said the caller was uninjured, officers arrived at the scene and later determined the shots came from an adjacent apartment.

When officers gained entry to the apartment, officers found the man inside the apartment with an apparent gunshot wound, according to SAPD.

Rescue workers pronounced the man dead at the scene.

At this time, the department said it has no information about a potential suspect or suspects.
