Record highs and increasing chances of rain

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Wilmington’s high rose to the mid-80s this afternoon in warm sunshine, setting a new record. The record high for Saturday was 83 in 2014. Expect increasing cloudiness and a chance of rain Saturday night, while lows will linger in the 50s and 60s.

As the front approaches, skies will become cloudier on Sunday, with a chance of much-needed showers and cooler breezes, with temperatures ranging from the 60s to a high of 70 degrees. Expect another strong warming trend as highs rise from the lower 70s on Monday to the lower 80s on Halloween. The chance of rain will be slim to none after tomorrow.

In the Tropics: New storms are unlikely to develop for the remainder of October.
