Armie Hammer will talk to his kids about his controversies ‘when the time comes’

Armie Hammer won’t shy away from uncomfortable conversations about his past as his children get older.

The “Call Me by Your Name” star launched his “The Armie HammerTime Podcast” on YouTube on Monday as he continues to work to “get his life back together” after being accused of physical and sexual abuse in 2021 .

On Monday’s episode, the “Social Network” star sat down for a chat with actor Tom Arnold and discussed how he has adjusted to his life and work after his sudden crash.

Hammer admitted that the fact that his children will one day be able to search for him online is “really scary for me.”

“I’m sure you’re honest enough to have these conversations,” Arnold said, to which Hammer replied, “100% when the time comes.”

Hammer shares daughter Harper, 9, and son Ford, 7, with his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers, with whom he finalized his divorce in 2023.

Hammer has two children – Harper, 9, and Ford, 7 – with his ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers. The ex-partners separated in 2020 after ten years of marriage, but were only able to settle their divorce last year.

The actor’s glittering screen career suffered a major blow after his former girlfriends made a series of disturbing allegations against him.

In February 2021, 26-year-old Effie Angelova accused Hammer of “forcibly” raping and “mentally, emotionally and sexually” abusing her in 2017, when she was 20.

Despite claims that he had fantasies of cannibalism, Hammer denied the claims and said there was no criminal wrongdoing in his four-year relationship with her.

Hammer’s other ex, Courtney Vucekovich, told Page Six in January 2021 that the actor told her, “He wants to break my rib, grill it and eat it.”

After being effectively removed from the Hollywood blacklist following the allegations, Hammer has now spoken about how being sober and being there for his children has helped him.

“I look at how my sobriety has affected my parenting and my ability to parent,” he explained on the podcast. “That’s one of the things I’m really grateful for [for] in terms of where I am with my life. I actually get to be a father.”

Hammer admitted that sobriety helped him be there for his children.

Elsewhere, Hammer, 38, explained that the podcast will serve as a “diary” for him to gain wisdom from his guests.

“I’ve been away for the last four years and now I’m back. You know? “What are you going to do?” he said. “So it will be a kind of diary or chronicle of how I get my life back together.”

“I’ll let you into my world a little,” he added.
