David Ortiz made sure this Yankees star’s comment didn’t slip

The Yankees did their job in Game 4 of the World Series and are hoping to write a shocking story.

New York defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday in a matchup filled with drama before and during the game involving two fans and Mookie Betts at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees know they’re playing with house money, which is why they don’t feel the pressure of being down 3-1 in the best-of-seven series.

“I still think we can shock the world,” Jazz Chisholm Jr. told reporters, according to FOX Sports. “The one thing about us is that we love history and we love making history. As for us, we’re out here right now trying to make history. We know there has never been a 3-0 comeback. But we feel like we’re the team that can do it.”

Eagle-eyed Boston Red Sox fans might raise their eyebrows at Chisholm’s line. And franchise legend David Ortiz made sure to bring it up.

“Did he say it was never done?” Ortiz asked on the FOX postgame show.

World Series. That’s never been done in the World Series,” Kevin Burkhardt told Ortiz. “We know you did it. We praised you for that.”

Ortiz was angry about Burkhardt’s latest comment and Alex Rodriguez joked that there have been four documentaries about the 2004 American League Championship Series. Ortiz still couldn’t help but find another way to upset Rodriguez and Derek Jeter on the FOX postgame show.
