Rain showers are forecast for Sunday and Monday

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Happy Saturday and Día de los Muertos to everyone celebrating. We experienced another calm, warm day on Saturday November 2nd, but conditions will change on Sunday.

Overnight moisture from the east may lead to thunderstorms in Otero and Hudspeth counties. This system will bring strong winds with gusts in the 30 to 40 mph range throughout the afternoon. The chance of isolated showers will increase this evening and continue into Monday morning. We will see a high around 69 and a low around 48.

On Monday, the chance of rain will be highest just before midday. The maximum temperature will be significantly cooler at 63 degrees, the minimum temperature will be around 42 degrees. Cloudy skies and mild winds are expected for the rest of the day.

Election Day, Tuesday, will feature sunny skies and a high near 66, with a low in the lower 40s.

Wednesday and Thursday will prove to be similar, if not slightly warmer. Calm, calm conditions are expected with normal temperatures in the upper 60s and lower 70s and lows in the 40s.

Starting Friday, we will see mostly sunny skies and more fall-like conditions with highs in the 60s to 70s and lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
