“Let’s Play with Dolls”: Thank you Netflix, the first pictures of Jenna Ortega in season 2 are here on Wednesday!

Wednesday fans can finally celebrate – the wait for a look at the highly anticipated second season of the hit Netflix series is over. With Tim Burton back in the director’s chair and Jenna Ortega as the iconic Wednesday Addams, the series’ new teaser offers a behind-the-scenes look and gives viewers a taste of what’s to come.

Gomez greets us with a familiar charm

The teaser starts in classic style Addams family style, with Gomez, played by Luis Guzmán, addressing the audience directly. “Hello, my little cumulonimbus,” he says with the darkly comedic warmth that only Gomez can convey. With this little greeting we are led back into the eerie and enchanting world of Wednesdaya place where the strangers and the eerie feel at home.

The footage further reveals the atmospheric sets and mysterious decorations that made the first season such a visual treat. Between shots of foggy hallways and shadowy rooms, the cast can be seen preparing for scenes, while snippets of dialogue hint at the humor and excitement that awaits in the new season.

“Wednesday” by Jenna Ortega sharpens her focus

One of the highlights of the teaser? A chilling line from Wednesday herself. With her usual deadpan tone and knife in hand, Ortega’s Wednesday says, “Let’s play with dolls.” It’s a moment that perfectly captures her dark charm and leaves us wondering what twisted plans she has has in store this season.

Emma Myers, who plays Enid Sinclair, Wednesday’s cheerful and contrasting roommate, adds some levity to the teaser. With her typical enthusiasm, Myers greets the audience and says, “Welcome to the set of season two!” Her cheerful presence will certainly balance Wednesday’s dry humor as the two navigate the macabre secrets of Nevermore Academy.

The familiar faces also keep coming back. Next to Ortega and Myers, we catch glimpses of Catherine Zeta-Jones as the glamorous Morticia, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay and Isaac Ordonez as Wednesday’s brother Pugsley – now noticeably older but still the same quirky Addams we know. And of course thingthe beloved disembodied hand, appears and shows two fingers in a cheeky nod to the upcoming second season.

Catherine Zeta-Jones promises a “more twisted, wilder” season

As Morticia, Catherine Zeta-Jones teases that the new season will be “more extraordinary and twisted than you could ever imagine,” hinting at the surprises and eccentricities to come. With a double snap of her fingers, she leaves us eagerly awaiting what comes next.

And Tim Burton’s signature style is back in full force. After the call to “Action!” on set, we see new, never-before-seen moments from the season. These glimpses provide enough intrigue to build suspense, but the mystery remains intact, leaving fans curious about the full story that awaits them.

A perfect teaser from Wednesday herself

True to her character, Wednesday won’t let us out of trouble so easily. Ortega breaks the fourth wall in classic style and says, “If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed, and I’m not that generous.” With one final look into the camera, Ortega’s “Wednesday” reminds us that the darker, sharper wit that we loved in the first season is still very much alive.

The teaser ends with Burton confirming after a successful take: “Okay, I think we’ve done it.” It’s a fitting end to this first look at it Wednesday Season 2so we can count down the days to 2025. Until then, fans can watch the first season again exclusively on Netflix and immerse themselves once again in the magnificent darkness of the Nevermore Academy.
