Rams News: Will Jared Verse’s hot play continue Monday night?

The Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins are on Monday Night Football, giving their players a chance to shine (or not) on national television. Jared Verse has made a name for himself and currently appears to be a leading candidate for the Defensive Rookie of the Year award, but there are still a lot of games left so nothing is necessarily decided yet. Can his game continue? Will his play improve as the season progresses?

LA also has Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske, Byron Young and more. Maybe this defense can prevail, but with Tyreek Hill (who has been listed as questionable), Jaylen Waddle and more, this Dolphins offense could take off.

Feel free to comment whatever you like and thanks for checking out Turf Show Times! Are you going to wait all day for Monday night?

Rookie Jared Verse is a battering ram, sacking QBs and talking about a great game for Los Angeles (news day)

“As the surging Rams (4-4) prepare to host the Miami Dolphins (2-6) on Monday night, Verse is already a cornerstone of a defense still rebuilding following the retirement of Aaron Donald. He racked up 3 1/2 sacks and nine tackles for loss, but that’s just a snapshot of the disruption Verse is causing to opposing offenses.

Verse was the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for September. He was even more impressive in October with 2 1/2 sacks, four tackles for loss and nine quarterback hits in four games. He is widely considered the favorite to be named midseason NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, an honor Donald himself achieved exactly a decade ago.

“I don’t care about awards,” Verse said. “Everything will come if I do the things I have to do. …Dealing with success is more difficult. Dealing with mistakes can only help you get better. But dealing with success can only make things worse. I’ll just keep working.”

Puka Nacua calls the Rams the 4 strongest defenders (lafbnetwork)

“I think that we are able to, especially with the guys on our team, with the young people that are there [Byron Young], [Jared] Verse, Elijah [Neal]and Omar Speights, everyone is always ready to take a hit. It’s nice to get back in there and feel like everyone’s ready to pounce.”

Nacua seems to suggest that these four, defensive linemen Jared Verse and Byron Young and linebackers Elias Neal and Omar Speights, are cut from the same cloth – the ones most willing to “take a hit” and “be ready to to beat”.

Predicting the final outcome of the Dolphins vs. Rams for Monday Night Football in NFL Week 10 (si.com)

“It’s probably too little, too late for the Miami Dolphins, but a win in this game will at least give their playoff hopes new momentum. Tua Tagovailoa has been strong in his return from concussion, but their defense has let them down in two straight weeks.

Meanwhile, the Rams are finally bouncing back and have managed to rattle off three straight wins, putting them within half a game of the NFC West lead heading into the weekend. They will try to build on last year’s success when they were the hottest team in the league in the second half of the season.”
