Consumer prices rose in June when President Donald Trump's tariffs slowly worked through the US economy.

The consumer price index, a broad measure of goods and service costs, rose by 0.3% per month and took the 12-month inflation rate to 2.7%, reported the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Tuesday. The numbers matched the Dow Jones consensus.

Without volatile food and energy prices, core inflation rose 0.2% per month, with the annual rate to 2.9%, with the annual rate corresponds to the estimates. The monthly level was slightly below the outlook for a win of 0.3%.

Before June, inflation in the year was generally downwards, with the CPI of headlines gradually progressing in January and in the following months, although there are fears to increase Trump's trade war.

While the evidence was mixed in June how much influence the tariffs had on the prices, there were signs that the tasks had an impact.

Within the category, a measurement of what homeowners could receive if they rented their real estate rose by 0.3%. However, the department from home fell by 2.9%.

Elsewhere, food prices per month increased by 0.3%, which increased the annual profit to 3%, while energy prices in May have a loss and 0.9%increased, although they have still decreased slightly compared to the previous year. Medical care rose by 0.6%, while transport services were 0.2% higher.
