Pokémon presents the live stream date, which points to something musical and not just an update to Pokémon Legends ZA

The Pokémon Company has announced that a Pokémon Livestream will take place on July 22nd. This comes next to a joke from Pikachu, which faces an apparently DJ deck.

The stream takes place at 9 p.m. JST, which is 5 a.m. PDT / 8 a.m. EDT / 1 p.m. GMT / 2 p.m. CEST. There is no word about what exactly is shown, but given the teaser image, one can assume that it will be a form of music or service in connection with music.

Whether you believe it or not, Pikachu has tried Djing in the past. He and Gengar attracted DJ clothing to the Universal Studios Japan as part of the Pokémon Halloween event. Apart from that, there were no music-oriented Pokémon games, and neither Pikachu nor Gengar have appeared as DJs in card form.

So what is the deal here? Well, that's speculation, but one of two revelations seems likely. The Longshot is a new music-oriented Pokémon game that is unveiled during the Pokémon presentation Livestream. The other, a Pokémon music service. Nintendo started its own music app in October 2024, and Pokémon is not a stranger to banger tracks and catchy melodies.

That or it could be something completely different, and this teaser picture has nothing to do with music. With Pokémon Legends ZA, the next big publication in the series, one would not be surprised to see an update for this game as part of this live streamed event. In any case, we have to try it out live to know it safely!
