We tried dolly partons 4 frozen dinner

We tried dolly partons 4 frozen dinner

In this job we put our body on the game for many things – namely product tests. In addition to trying dozens of towels and brooms, we eat dozens of food all year round, if not hundreds of food to find the best of the best. This includes spoons of mayonnaise, bushel of croissants and bowls of sheet cake. (Ok, some tests are worse than others.)

But it is not so common that we try frozen meals from one of the greatest artists and humanitarian America. But if Dolly Parton wants to set her name to four frozen meals, we will try them.

How we tested

I introduced myself to two microwaves and ran these meals hot and turned while our editors had collapsed after eating and had broken into dinner to find their favorites.

As with all frozen meals, there are only a few concessions that you have to do. No, a frozen meal never tastes like mom has just cooked, but good can reach the comfort food point and still fill their stomach. And that is a win-win situation in this frozen gait that seems to grow every day.

We put all four frozen meals from Dolly to the test, and here are our judgments:

Taste test: We tried dollys frozen dinner

Labet & grit

The least favorite of the bunch – and that may be because we all have different definitions, such as shrimps and grits.

“The taste was fine, but the texture of the groats was switched off. Shrimp are tough and hopping.” As mentioned, this is probably just a risk of frozen food industry. Grits will never be smooth and creamy (at least in our experience), and shrimp can easily boil in the microwave. Apart from that, several editors have attributed the entire tomato and the kick black pepper as to the fact that he makes the dish appear fresh.

Hunt -roasted steak

This meal actually deserves high notes for taste and texture, but there was a big problem: The heating instructions for this meal ask you to turn the steak halfway through the cooking process. If you do this, you will lose all the beautiful breading. So if we warm it up again, maybe you ignore this part? Just make sure that you produce the potatoes under the steak so that you can heat up.

“The green beans have a good texture, which is surprising for frozen meals,” wrote an editor. Another said that the texture of the steak was “actually at the point, but breading is a mistake” and they went back for seconds.

Roast beef

This dinner delivered exactly what we were expecting: meat that was tough (as it normally be with every roast, be honest) and delicate potatoes and carrots.

“The taste is good, slightly sweet and the consistency of the sauce is beautiful, not too soupy or thick,” wrote an editor. If the beef hadn't been so tough, this might have won our top position.

Chicken & dumplings

Unfortunately there can only be one favorite, and our was Dollyy's chicken & dumplings. Most editors commented that this tasted homemade or freshest of all meals, one said: “This could be my favorite of the bunch. The chicken is tender, taste is good and [vegetables] are not too mushy. ”

There were a few disagreements about the dumplings and if they were really a southern style dumplings, most agreed that they were at least a large part of the court. “They are almost like Gnocchi,” wrote a editor. “I would eat it again.”

So if you are at the meal and are not crazy about one of the meals you normally eat, take a keyword from our editary team and try out one of them. You could enjoy what dolly cooked for you. We definitely did it.
