The summer of 2025 will be the last season for the only Six Flags location of a state.

Six Flags Entertainment announced the upcoming closure of Six Flags America and its associated Hurricane Harbor water park in a press release, which described Move as a “difficult decision”. The Bowie, Maryland, is the second planned closure that the company has announced since May.
