The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is changing the government because the war of its country rages with Russia more than three years after its beginning.

The first deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economics Yulia Svyrydenko was led to the management of the next government as Prime Minister. In the meantime, the current prime minister Denys Shmyhal will serve the country's next defense minister.

Zelenskyy named Svyrydenko as his election for prime minister in one post on X and said the two met to discuss the destinations for the country.

“We have also discussed concrete measures to increase the economic potential of Ukraine, expand the support programs for Ukrainians and scale our production of domestic weapons. To pursue this goal, we initiate a transformation of the executive department in Ukraine. Zelenskyy wrote on Monday.

Svyrydenko thanked Zelenskyy in her own position on X and determined the “priority tasks” defined by the president, including strengthening the economy, increasing the production of domestic weapons and the expansion of the government's support.

“These tasks can be collected by material deregulation, the removal of bureaucratic obstacles, the reduction of the non -critical state expenditure and the doubling of functions within state institutions, the protection of entrepreneurship and the complete concentration of state resources for the defense of Ukraine and recovery after the protection of applicants,” wrote.

The outgoing Prime Minister Smyhal, who has been in the role since 2020, is to replace the current Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, whom Zelenskyy had proposed, according to Reuters, to be the next ambassador in the country.

Zelenskyy praised Shmyhal-Den for the longest reigning government manager of the country since his independence in 1991 for his “great experience”, reports.

On Monday, President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States agreed to sell weapons to NATO that would “quickly be distributed to Ukraine”. Mark Rutte, General Secretary of NATO, said Trump called him on Thursday to confirm that he wanted to be part of the business.
