Kane County Fair opened Wednesday – everything you need to know


The Kane County Fair starts on Wednesday at 3 p.m. with 4-hour animals, fair food and carnival trips at 3 p.m.

The fair runs on Wednesday, July 16, until Sunday, July 20, on the Kane County Fairgrounds in 525 S. Randall Road in St. Charles.

“It is reassuring to know that the Kane County Fair has reached its own legacy of the 156th year. … The beautiful Kane County Fairground has been carefully expanded and improved over the years,” said a representative of the trade fair in a press release. “The Kane County Fair is one of the oldest and long -standing trade fairs in the country.”

Wednesday will only be a carnival. Entry is 5 US dollars and unlimited trips 32 US dollars. Food sellers will work until closing.

For the rest of the weekend, admission is 10 US dollars for adults, 5 US dollars for children under the age of 13 and children under 3 years are free. Parking at the event is free.

The fairgrounds are open on Wednesday and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to midnight and on Sunday at 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The 4-hour exhibition halls are open daily and two hours before the fair. The cattle auction will take place on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Free attractions and events throughout the weekend include the petting zoo, Magic Shows, Swifty Swine Racing Pigs and the JP Classic Car Show on Saturday and Sunday.

There is free live music on the Miller Lite Sound Sound. This year's list includes Eric Chesser, Stolping Billies, Mark Atkins, Hillbilly Rockstarz and how rude.

The grandstands will be opened for ticket events all weekend on Thursday evening. Bull drivers, Barrel racing drivers and cowgirls will be the main events on Thursday to Saturday, with the demby demby on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Tickets for grandstand events cost 10 US dollars and can buy every night at 6 p.m.
