The producers of the singing competition “American Idol” mourn the loss of one of their own.

Robin Kaye, who was one of the show's music supervisory authorities for over a decade, and her husband Thomas Deluca were found dead in her house in Encino on Monday, according to the Los Angeles police department.

“We are destroyed by Robin and her dear husband Tom's. Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was really loved and respected by everyone who has come into contact with her,” a representative of “American Idol” told CNN on Tuesday.

The statement continued: “Robin will stay in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with your family and friends in this difficult time.”

According to Tony IM, a public information officer of the LAPD, the police answered the 4700 block of the White Oak Avenue in Encino on Monday at 2:33 p.m. after receiving a social control.

Once on site, the officers discovered a male and a female victim who apparently suffered “possible gunshot wounds” and both were declared dead at the scene.

The police later said in a press release on Tuesday that they arrested 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian, a resident of Encino, in connection with the couple's death.

According to the press release, Boodarian was supposedly broken into her home when the couple was gone on July 10th.

“The victims returned home while the suspect was in their residence, and there was a confrontation, which led to the suspect laying their lives,” said the police.

Kaye took part in an event in Hollywood in 2017.

Boodarian has not yet been assigned a public defender.

Tim Pingel, a neighbor, said CNN Affiliate Kabc that he saw that the police were responding to a call in the area last week because of a possible armed burglar suspect. The police informed the outcome that they were not seen any signs of a break on the floor or from the air and were not entered in the residence.

Another neighbor, Amee Faggen, said Kabc, that her tenant, even though she “saw or heard anything”.

“My tenant called 911 on Thursday because she hopped someone in the fence. And I have no idea whether it was related or not,” said Faggen. “They came and went, the helicopters and the police came. And I heard from my other neighbors that the police came yesterday to make a wellness check, and the family said they hadn't heard of them in four days.”

The couple was discovered after a friend had asked for a welfare examination and the police entered through a goal.

Safety material showed that the suspect was in the house in the house for about 30 minutes, the police said.

Kaye was an experienced music director with over 40 credits from the late 1990s.

One of her first projects as a music consultant, according to her IMDB page, was in 1998 when she worked on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”. She worked in many television programs, including “Nashville Star”, 2008, “The Singing Bee” between 2007 and 2011 and “Hollywood Game Night” between 2014 and 2016.

Kaye was working as a music leader for “American Idol” between 2009 and 2023, especially for over a decade.
