Emilie said that over 100 public records have been submitted since Trigg's death, many of which believe that they are motivated by public curiosity or commercial interest and not by supervision.

She said that neither she nor her lawyers had checked the graphic content of the material, which includes safety material, autopsy spokes, 911 audio and bodycam videos. The complaint argues that the publication of such raw and intimate documentation would weapons the law of Arizona in public records against mourning families instead of serving his intended purpose of promoting the government's transparency.
