Mexico is considering legal steps against the death of migrant during the ice law on the cannabis farm in Camarillo

Mexico city – The Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Tuesday that her government was considering a legal complaint about the death of a migrant who fell to death during an immigration on a cannabis farm in Camarillo.

Jaime Alanís Garcia was taken to the hospital and later died after falling off the roof during an immigration and customs authority in Camarillo.

“Jaime was not just an agricultural worker, he was a provider and a person who deserves Dignity.

During the immigration attack on the Farm in Ventura County, federal agents teamed up with demonstrators, one of at least two large -scale raids in South California on July 10.

Garcia's family said that he was about 30 feet from a building while he may have tried to run in front of federal agents. Garcia suffered a broken neck and skull.

“We support the family, we have contact with you and we also examine the opportunity to take a complaint (in the USA) because this is unacceptable,” said Sheinbaum at a press conference on Tuesday. “The Foreign Ministry is currently checking the matter. It is very unfortunate that this has happened. All of our solidarity and support go to the family, and there must be no further case like this. Therefore, the complaint must be submitted in court there.”

The Department of Homeland Security said he was not persecuted by the law enforcement authorities when he fell.

“This man was not there and was not in CBP or ice custody. Although he was not pursued by the law enforcement authorities, this person rose to the roof of a greenhouse and fell 30 feet,” said Tricia McLaughlin, deputy DHS public affairs. “CBP immediately called a Medivac into the scene to take care of it as soon as possible.”
