The Open Championship was founded in 1860 and is the oldest golf tournament in the world. The open (also known as British Open) will take place in Great Britain in the United Year in the United Year. The event is the last of the four major championships that take place every year on the PGA Tour (Masters, PGA Championship and US Open) on the weekend of the third Friday in July.

Harry Vardon has most victories at the Open and won the highest awards in 1896, 1898, 1899, 1903, 1911 and 1914. The Open Championship 2025, the 153rd episode of Golf's original major, takes place from July 17th to 20th in the Royal Portrush Golnc Club in Northern Ireland. The total price fund for this year is $ 17 million, with the winner receiving 3.1 million US dollars.
