Lightning announcement 2025-26 regular season plan, presented by Adventhealth


Tampa Bay – Tampa Bay Lightning announced the regular season plan of 2025-26 of the team today from the team's Adventhealth. The schedule consists of a full 82-game campaign, in which the bolts open on Thursday, October 9, in the Amalie Arena in the Amalie Arena with a Matchup against the Ottawa Senators.

The flash will play all teams in the NHL at least twice and take over four times in its division with exceptions from Ottawa and the Toronto Maple Leafs, which they will play three times. Tampa Bay plays the opponent of the Metropolitan Division three times and fights twice against every opponent of the western conference (once at home and once).

The Bolts will once again play an even split of 41 home and street games and have the longest home of the season with seven consecutive games in the Amalie Arena from April 24th to 4th. The longest road trip of the year will consist of five games from January 10th to 18th. Tampa Bay will also tackle five separate ride with four games in 2025-26.

The first event of the regular 2025-26 season will take place on February 1, when the Bolts bring the game outside and fight against the Boston Bruins in the NHL Stadium series of the Navy Federal Credit Union in the Raymond James Stadium. Tampa Bay will compete in the Franchise history in the NHL Stadium series for the second time after defeating Nashville Predators 3-2 in the Nissan Stadium on February 26, 2022. The flash will play a total of 15 back-to-backs with two sets with consecutive competitions in the Amalie Arena this season. Ten of them will see both games on the street, while three are separated as a visitor with a matchup as a home team and the other.

The bolts will play a total of 16 games in their busiest month of the season in March. Eight of the 16 competitions will be played in the Amalie Arena for over 29 days and most of the games at home are marked in a single month of 2025-26. Conversely, the busiest month of lightning from home will be from January, in which Tampa Bay is busy in nine competitions on the street.

In the second season in a row, the NHL will not organize a all-star game, as the players are preparing for the 2026 Winter Olympics, which are planned from February 6th to 22nd in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Last month, the 12 nations for men's ice hockey announced their preliminary duty rosters, each calling six players. Five of their skaters were honored in the Bolts with selections, including Oliver Bjorkstrand (Team Denmark), Erik Cernak (Team -Slovakia), Zemgus Girgensons (Team Lettland), Victor Hedman (Team Sweden) and Brayden Point (Canada). In addition, the Lightning organization of Jon Cooper and Julien Brisebois will be represented, both of which will be head coach or deputy general manager in the team of Team Canada.
