Chargers now admit that new helmet lick was an inside job

Chargers now admit that new helmet lick was an inside job

In a twist that of a robbery or at least a very well staged Tikok-Sind, the chargers from Los Angeles cleaned: this “random” helmet leak? Totally intentionally.

Senior Vice President of Brand Creative and Content Jason Lavine withdrew the curtain this week with a not so subtle social media contribution, which was like a grin confession:

“PS We deliberately leaked this helmet during the season … You know that we talk about 😀.”

In fact, we do.

What Chargers fans once thought was a slip-in-and-tested navy helmet view during a merch shooting to be carefully planted. It is the football version of “We have that”, except that it actually worked. The teaser helmet, who was casually held by a player during a collaboration with the Clenshaw City Skate Club, became a spark that illuminated a fan base rumor tronfire.

The navy helmet in question with golden face masks, royal bolts and gold -TV numbers triggered weeks of speculation. Was it real? Was it only for promo content? Did you accidentally reveal it too early or was it just a very stylish red herring?

It turned out that everything was part of the plan.

Do you have this big kick energy?

The unveiling occurs on the official alternative uniform drop on July 15, which contains two new looks: the much-tuned all-gold kit and the navy-throwback uniform that nods to the era of Rodney Harrison-Ladainian Tomlinson.

The gold jersey, which used to have only a fan favorite individual trade option, now receives a full number of visitors. Combined with golden pants and the standard -white helmet of the team with a golden face mask, the look “Charger Power” week 7 will debut against the Colts. In other words, sofi becomes sunburst.

“We wanted to bend on it,” said Team President AG Spanos. “It was an allusion to the past, but still had a youthful energy. We are happy to have it in the closet.”

But it is the dark blue relapse -now officially confirmed with suitable navy helmets -that fans and Photoshop -magicians are followed. The updated “Super Chargers” look stimulates the identity of the mid -2000s, which are combined with lightning screws in marine and gold and matching pants that Peak Antonio scream.

Speaking of goals, he is a fan:

“I love this uniform. I wish I could play in it again,” he said. “Yes, I would definitely have achieved a few touchdowns with it.”

The strategy of the chargers here was less “Oops” and more Ocean's Eleven. They fed the fans just enough to trigger Reddit -Threads, X (formerly Twitter) and a healthy amount of speculation. Helmetgate was not a Panne-es was a brilliant piece before start marketing.

And it worked. If the official unveiling takes place on July 15, most of the fan base will already have the feeling of having the secret. What was technically speaking.

While the rest of the league stuck to dry press releases and chunky drops, the chargers play chess in full uniform. Just don't be surprised if your next “accident” ends up in a gift shop near you.
