Agent: Julio Urías has “every intention to continue his career”

The suspension of the former Dodgers pitcher Julio Urías ends on Wednesday. The next day, Major League Baseball will remove him from his restricted list, and any team that wants to sign it can do so.

Scott Boras, the agent of Urías, said the pitcher – the only player who was set twice because of violation of the policy of baseball against domestic violence and sexual assault – hopes to start the game again.

“He still intends to continue his career,” said Boras here on Monday. “He has in shape. Obviously he will have options that are open to him.”

Boras rejected it to discuss one of these potential options on Monday because the suspension has not yet expired. It is believed that several teams have checked in Urías, but it is uncertain whether a deal is hit, and if so, he can possibly help a Major League team.

“It depends on how teams see the situation and see his skills,” said Boras.

Boras said Urías did not take up this year and would need time to work in the Major League form. How much time he needs could determine whether he could help a team later this season or to aim for the next season.

The 28-year-old Urías, who was last set up for the Dodgers in 2023. After the two were separated, the Video Urias showed her with his left hand.

Urías was arrested On suspected domestic violence of crimes, but the County in Los Angeles District prosecutor's office determined that “neither the victim's injuries nor the defendant's crime history justify a crime”. The public prosecutor later submitted Five charges Against Urías. He pleaded No competition The other four were dropped to the others, and he agreed to enter a one -year program for the treatment of domestic violence.

He also agreed to complete a similar program in 2019 when he was arrested in the Beverly Center parking lot after an incident. Witnesses said he had pushed his fiancee, she said she had fallen and no charges were submitted.

The league then blocked him 20 games. According to its directive, the league can expose a player, even if no fees are submitted.

Urías was transferred to administrative leave for the last month of the 2023 season, whereupon his contract had expired with the Dodgers and he became a free agent.

He has not set up since then.

Urías recorded the final from the Dodgers' World Series Championship in 2020. He headed the National League in the victories (20) in 2021 and earned average in 2022 (2.16).
