The Norwegian captain Ada Hegerberg asked her team to “enjoy the moment” the moment, while on Wednesday in Geneva, Switzerland (8:00 p.m. BST), in the first quarter -finals at Euro 2025 against Italy.

Italy has never won the tournament, but lost in the final in 1993 and 1997. This year they beat Belgium 1-0, 1-1 with Portugal and losing 3: 1 against world champion Spain as the second -placed group B.

“Many fans will see the match and we know that we have a great responsibility to create and develop their passion,” said Italy head coach Andrea Soncin.

“The preparation of the game is like all other games. We experience a magical moment together and have a strong determination and strong trust in this game.”

Midfielder Manuela Giugliano added: “We tried to create positive energy and energy that I could not feel in the past. Our group is a beautiful group and a positive group. We are all united to achieve the same goal.”

The winner of this game will secure a semi -finals against Sweden or England, which will play her quarter -finals in Zurich on Thursday (8:00 p.m.).
