Strong to heavy storms are possible between around 3 a.m. and 8 p.m., said ABC7 Chicago meteorologist Larry Mowry.

A large part of the area is at level 2. Northwest Indiana and some southern suburbs are under a risk of level 1.

Strong winds seem to be the biggest concern, but an isolated tornado will be an option. Heavy rain can also cause a concern for some localized floods.

There is also the chance of storms on Thursday.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this weekend. Saturday is the day with higher rain opportunities.

Tuesday was hot and moist, around 90.

There was a little chance of a shower on Tuesday evening, but most of the area was expected to stay dry.

There is an air quality warning for the rest of the Tuesday, but the air quality is not so bad on Tuesday compared to Monday.
