A'ja Wilson, Josh Allen under 2025 Espys candidates; Vote now

The Espys 2025 presented by Capital One are July 16. Voices and help to decide which stars should go home with the biggest awards of the show.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is fresh from an NBA championship and wants to contribute its latest awards, including MVP and MVP of the regular season. The Oklahoma City Thunder Guard is nominated in two categories: the best athlete – men's sports and the best NBA player. In the meantime, the thunder is one of the nine nominees for the best team after they predominated in game 7 against the Indiana Pacers.

Several candidates earned espies nod for their outstanding Olympic and Paralympic performances in Paris. Simone Biles and Sydney McLaughlin -Levron are for the best athlete – women's sports – and Ilona Maher and Ezra Cheeks Sech represent the best breakthrough athlete and the best athletes with a disability category.

A'ja Wilson, winner of the best athlete – women's sports and best WNBA Player Awards in 2024, leads both categories again. Saquon Barkley earned a nod in three categories: best athlete – men's sports, best game and best NFL player. The quarterback from Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen, is the only other NFL player, apart from Barkley, which is called both the best NFL players and in the best athletes – men's sports categories.
