Pat Green loses the family in Texas floods

Green announced on social media that his family suffered a heartbreaking and deeply personal loss during the devastating floods that swept through central texas on July 4.

Green, who grew up in Waco, Texas, reflected the widespread effect. “I don't know what is better behind Texas than Texas,” he said.

“I lost my brother, my sister -in -law, John and Julia and her two boys,” said Green in an interview with Fox 4. Fortunately, our niece survived. And now it is time for us to think about how we can rebuild life around them. “

“And then I thought about how many thousands of people in the whole state were affected and how many of their families have to do the same,” he added. “I would like to give my parents who have lost their children and their grandchildren, just so much love.”

Green had previously canceled a concert planned for July 5, but sent prayers instead of those affected. Now he is organizing this benefit concert to help as many flood victims as possible.

“For some reason, I had this thing with my voice, where I can, not only the awareness, but also try to change the opinion of the people. And so I try to transform grief into a bright light and hopefully a solution for these families that were decimated,” he said.
