Availability report: No changes to the justification of the weekend

Just four days after their game against Toronto FC, there are no changes to the Atlanta United availability report over the weekend. The 5-stripes, which practiced yesterday and today in the training area of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, strive to come back on the field at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Although some important defenders have not justified a selection on Wednesday evening if Atlanta welcomes the city at 7:30 p.m. ET, they made progress this week to be healthy again.

Stian Greersen and Derrick Williams, two of the most closed defenders at Atlanta United, still recover from injuries with a lower body. Gregersen advocates his quad injury in the rehab, which has brought him out of his way for almost three months. Williams injured New York City on June 12 and still works to reach fitness. The two were participants in the training this week and came back into the river of exercises with other players instead of just doing individual work.

Head coach Ronny Deila said that Gregersen could take more time to finish the match because he was no longer, but he was encouraged that the Norwegian center was able to join the rest of the squad in training.

“[He] I will take a little more time, but we are happy to have the whole group together [so] That we can get to a very good level, “said Deila.

Josh Cohen and Jay Fortune stay outside with arm and foot injuries. Cohen should be a few more weeks from a return based on the original time frame that the club has announced. As the club also announced, Fortune is after a successful foot surgery for the season.

The return home of Atlanta United is a long time because they have been traveling for almost two months. Grab your tickets for Wednesday and Saturday here!
