You would have to go all the way to Japan to use it, but there is an internet connection so quickly that it would only take seconds, which is available on Netflix. Researchers in the country have set up a new world record for the fastest internet speed that occurs at 402 terabits per second. That is 4 million times faster than average broadband speeds in the USA

The feat was directed by a team that was led by the National Institute for Information and Communication Technology. They did this with multiplexing and optical amplifiers of the multi-band wavelength to expand the range to 37.6 THZ. The data was transmitted over 50 kilometers of fiber optic cables.

The best thing about it, however, is that they used fiber available in stores, for which a few specific upgrades were not required. While some changes would have to be made, this could be scaled for real connections without having to change the entire network.
