Maurene Comey, a federal prosecutor in Manhattan and the daughter of the former FBI director James Comey, was released from her job in the southern district of New York, according to people who are familiar with the situation.

Comey was a prosecutor in this case against Jeffrey Epstein and recently against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The reason for her shooting was not immediately clear, but a person familiar with the situation said that it is unsustainable in this administration, since James Comey “pursues constantly after administration”.

A spokesman for SDNY rejected a statement.
