The hearing of the application of TN Death Row inmate to switch off the defibrillator during the execution

Nashville, Tenn. (WSMV) – On Wednesday there was a hearing on the type of death for a college that was discontinued for the execution.

Byron Black is to be executed on August 5th. He was condemned in a triple murder.

Here you will find instructions on how to observe WSMV4 live on various platforms.

Black's lawyers asked for his defibrillator to be switched off during the execution. They say that if it stays further, it could lead to a long and more painful death.

Black wants to make sure that his heart does not restart during the execution and causes a longer and “tortious” death.

No decision was made on Wednesday, but Black's lawyer said the judge would issue the decision on Friday at lunchtime.
