Wake Forest Women's Soccer Alum Erin Regan to get a prestigious Pat Tillman Award for the service


Los Angeles, California – – – Wake Forest Women's Soccer Alum Erin Regan ('02) was selected for the service for the Pat Tillman Award and is honored for her efforts by girls fire camp, a program founded for young women in the field of fire brigade and emergency services by practical management of female firefighters. Regan will be honored at the Espys 2025 on Wednesday, July 16, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT at the ABC from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles Live Live, and will stream on ESPN+on Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+the next day.

Regan, a respected member of the women's football program from 1998 to 2002, made several records that still contain the top spot in the record books. As a newcomer, she scored 75 parades in the goal and took third place in the program history in a single season. The former goalkeeper of the first team all-Acc goalkeeper also set several records during their second campaign. She heads the program with 113 parades in a single season and held the record for the gates against the average of 0.71 until this season, in the Valentina Amaral Halfed the Demon Deacons to a historical run for the national championship game.

In their second season with the Deacs, Regan recorded nine Shutouts, which in a single season the second place in the program history.

After graduating in 2002, Regan followed a professional career with the Washington Spirit of the former women's association of the United Soccer Association before he came to the Los Angeles County fire brigade in 2008.

In addition to her work within the Lacofd, Regan brought her talents to teach the next generation of female firefighters by encouraging the girl's fire camp with the fire camp in 2015 with the promotion of a career in fire fighting. The camp enables girls to meet current and former firefighters and to learn some of the foundations of the business in the hope of increasing the female representation in an area largely dominated by men.
