Los Angeles – For one night at the Espy Awards 2025, the entire sports world celebrated all the remarkable moments and athletes who captivated the world last year.

The annual award ceremony organized by Comedian Shane Gillis brought people from the entire sports world and celebrities to the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. From the best baseball player to the craziest game to most dominating teams, many awards were issued for those who were undeniably.

People who have made significant contributions to their sport and community were also awarded the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage, the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance, the Pat Tillman Award for Service and the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitary Award.

The last honor of the night goes to the Super Bowl Champions. Nick Sirianni and some players accept the award. Jordan Maliata calls out the coaches and families because they are the reason for the success of the team.

The leading goal scorer of the NHL wins the award. While he is not present, he sent a video message in which he accepted the award.

Best NFL player: Saquon Barkley

Best women -college athlete: Juju Watkins

Add another award for the incumbent NBA MVP, which has won a title for Oklahoma City.

During his speech, Gilgeous-Alexander confused and even dropped an expantive.

Robertson is considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time and was honored for the leadership of the fight for the free agency.

Robertson remembered the battle with NBA owners and how his character was attacked. Despite the years of legal challenge, he said he would do it again.

“It is important to do the right thing, even if there is a personal victim,” said Robertson.

Athletes who died last year are honored with a musical performance by Tobe Nwigwe and David Michael Wyatt.

Lee fought back from kidney disease to at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, where she was part of the all-round-women gymnastics team for the gold medal. She also won bronze in the individual all-round and uneven bars.

The cross -country and athlete athlete of the girls from Utah and boys basketball players receive the prestigious high school award.

The honor went to two former college athletes who are firefighters who reacted to the forest fires in the Pacific Palisades and Altadena. Walters was a swimmer in Texas and Regan played football in the Wake Forest.

Both recipients recognized their family and friends and gave the other first aiders recognition during the fatal forest fires.

“We recognize that this is not an individual award,” said Regan. “It's a team award.”

The Rookie of the Year 2024 receives the award.

Biles takes her second award of the night home after winning the best championship performance.

The two legendary stars are recognized for their decorated careers after they have just retired.

Morgan and Taurasi each have compliments, and both recognized those who pave the way for their respective sports.

“Because of them, we could be Olympions and business women and mothers,” said Morgan.

Taurasi encourages the next generation to continue and “bring the damn fire”.

The two schools had the best sports programs in men's and women's sports. North Carolina's women won titles in lacrosse and football, and the men of the state of Ohio won the college football playoff National Championship.

The women's volleyball coach from Penn State is honored for letting her team lead to a national championship while fighting breast cancer. She was the first woman to train a volleyball team on the national title of Division I.

Schumacher-Cawley thanked the doctors who helped her to fight cancer, her family that she and her team supported her to inspire her to continue the battle. She also reflects the words of Jim Valvano's famous “Don't Giving Up” speech.

Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee recognize the star of the college football show. Corso will have his last show during the season opener between Texas and Ohio State in August.

Corso said he hoped that he could put a smile on people's faces and he loved his job.

The crew celebrates an appropriate celebration with the South California marching band that comes on stage, and people bring out signs like the show. Of course he also gets a Trojan headpiece.

The Rugby player of the US women was a national star at the 2024 Olympics in Paris when the team won bronze.

The comedian does not hold back to start the show and rolls with jokes over Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Caitlin Clark and the WNBA, the Wettskandal with Shohei Ohtani and Bill Belichick's relationship with Jordon Hudson.

Gillis makes several jokes about President Donald Trump. He said he didn't know any sport and told a story to meet him in the Super Bowl.
