Phil Mickelson, Lee Westwood and Haotong Li have the early lead on the first day of the 153rd Open in Royal Portrush.

The evaluation is difficult for the Dunluce links, with Champion Golfer Mickelson 2013, Westwood, who went through the final qualifying at Dundonald Left, and Li, the only men at Two-Uner.

Only a handful of players are under par early, with many more bogeys than birdies on the first morning.
