Netflix Crime Series is fascinating

Detective Work requires a meticulous attention to detail, regardless of the attitude. However, if a crime occurs in the middle of a million hectares of wilderness, investigations can take on its own life. Written by Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith, Netflix's new mystery thriller, “Untemed”, is a fascinating journey that includes secrets, deep-seated wounds and a stubborn attempt at investigators. The Limited Series plays in the picturesque Yosemite National Park and follows Kyle Turner (an extraordinary Eric Bana), a special agent of the National Park Services Investigative Services Branch (ISB). After a body was discovered in the park, Turner begins a ruthless search to determine what happened. Exquisite and nerves, “untamed” is an assessment of the human state and shows how animal we can become when we are secured in corners.

“Unknown” opens in the huge wilderness and lush greens from Yosemite. Two young men climb on the massive granite monolith named El Capitan. Although the top of the surface is within reach, things become dangerous when a woman falls over the side of the mass and the men almost puts down with her. At some point, Park Rangers, including the boss Park Ranger Paul Souter (Sam Neill) and the LAPD transfer Naya Vasquez (Lily Santiago), interview the men, what exactly saw them as the woman's body who falls down on her. Unfortunately, your survey is thwarted by the arrival of Kyle Turner. Stoic and borderline rude, he shows a clear contempt for the Rangers before he fully takes over the examination.

Since none of the other rangers are ready to work with gymnasts, Rookie Vasquez together with the special agent, who would rather carry out a one-man examination. Nevertheless, even Vasquez can admit that despite Turner's decreasing tone and behavior, he discovers the fragments of evidence that others overlook. When Jane DOE #1711 is sent to the corpse hall, Turner is sure that she was dead before she falls from the El Capitan side. In addition, he assumed that she had been hunted by her murderer for some time.

To navigate gymnast when it comes to Rhode Island, but at the same time Turner tries to reconcile his personal trauma. Although he mostly stays for himself, he and the boss sovereign have a friendly relationship. He also has a close connection to his ex-wife Jill (Rosemarie Dewitt), a former school teacher who has been married again since her divorce. While he and Vasquez try to uncover the identity of Jane Doe and her connection to Yosemite, the slivers of Turner's past begin, and force the audience and his colleagues to ask themselves whether he is ready for such a massive undertaking.

In the middle of a variety of investigative dramas that are transmitted via television, it is a challenge to create a really unique show. However, the Smiths are obviously up to the task. With the beauty and splendor of the park as a backdrop, the six-episode series involves numerous elements into the narrative, which range from previous studies to indigenous practices and complex human relationships and make it “untamed” into a completely unmistakable show.

The characters themselves ensure an exceptionally committed series. Bana embodied someone who could simply have been a Curmudgeon and portrays a man who was tortured by his past, and the incident that smashed his marriage and urged him to find Jane Doe justice. Vasquez, a single mother of her 4-year-old son, also seems to learn while he adapts to this new and structured landscape. But she also keeps her private matters closely guarded. Nevertheless, the truth has a way to reveal itself, especially in the wild.

“Untemed” is deeply layered and gripping and is a brilliant detective story that is anchored by some of our worst human impulses. It is a story of pain, shame and hope of redemption, even if there seems to be no way out. A series of justice, control and whoever remembered is also a memory that our true nature is always revealed in the end.
