XRP -Futures volume on the CME made a record of USD 235 million

The emerging XRP Futures market of the CME is growing quickly because demanding investors are interested in payment-oriented cryptocurrency.

Together, the standard and Micro Futures recorded the highest record on Friday a total trading volume of 235 million US dollars. According to the CME Active Trader data source, the cumulative trade has been taken to $ 1.6 billion since May 19.

“The record underlines the rapidly growing demand in our new XRP Futures -Suite,” said Active Trader to X.

The CME is a preferred place for institutions that are exposed to digital assets by regulated derivatives and at the same time avoid direct ownership of the token. The futures of CME, which are bound with Bitcoin and Ether, are widely considered a proxy for institutional activities.

The XRP standard contracts are dimensioned for 50,000 XRP and micro -contracts at 2,500 XRP.

Ripple, the XRP uses to facilitate cross-border transactions, has applied for a banking license in the United States and is reportedly interested in receiving a market in Mica license (Mica) in order to expand into the European Union.
