DWP news: August 2025 Payment data for services and pensions as well as living costs for the cost of living

For millions in all Great Britain, the management of living costs remains a daily struggle, since the rising prices continue to exceed household income.

The recent investigations by the Resolution Foundation showed that the costs for the cost of use in Great Britain have persisted long about the “highlight” of the cost of living in 2022.

Although inflation returns to the pre-pandemic level, the costs of the goods have remained high in the face of stagnant wages. At the same time, exorbitant budget calculations have that millions are related to debts to afford the bare essentials.

Around 7.3 million adults (13.9 percent of households) experienced a nutritional uncertainty in January 2025, as the Food Foundation figures showed no signs that they returned to the level before 2022. In the past five years, energy residues have more than doubled in the past five years, which has increased to £ 3.9 billion at the end of 2024.

Against this difficult economic background, it is important that households claim all the support they are entitled to. There are now around 24 million people in the country who claim a combination of DWP compared advantages that represent around three people.

However, research according to politics in practice shows that every year no achievements of £ 23 billion are provided.
