Arsenal confirmed the signing of Canadian international Olivia Smith in a long -term contract. Sources informed ESPN that it was a world record fee and the first transmission of £ 1 million in women's football.

Before Smith came to Liverpool, Smith spent a season in Portugal with Sporting CP and ended her debut campaign with 16 goals in 28 games before moving to women's Super League.

At the international level, Smith Kanada's youngest player became the youngest player when she won her first upper limit at the age of 15 in 2019. To date, she has achieved 18 appearances and scored four goals for Canada.
