Crime partner: How to carry out Russia, Ukraine syndicates from Bali – with crypto and encrypted chats

The Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) identified Bali as an important location for drug trafficking in which Russian and Ukrainian citizens are involved. According to Indonesian state news agency Antara, these syndicates use advanced technologies such as blockchain to avoid recognition by law enforcement authorities.BNN boss, general representative of police officer Marthinus Huklom, said that his agency had found that human retailers relying on distributed high systems in order to discretely manage their operations. “This is a very unique phenomenon in which the national Russia and Ukraine – two currently in the war – have become partners of crime (des) drug trade in Bali,” said Hukl during a public lecture at U -daya University in Bali, as cited by Antara.Hukl noted that human retailers use social -media platforms, especially Instagram, to connect with buyers.Communication is carried out using a coded language and encryption to prevent the persecution. The syndicates also carry out transactions through cryptocurrencies and not through conventional payment methods, which makes the enforcement effort more complex. “It is very difficult to hold such practices because the perpetrators do not carry out any transactions in a conventional way,” Hukl was cited by the Ankara news agency.The Indonesian authorities coordinate with Russian officials to tackle the problem.The United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime has previously announced that Indonesia is a main goal for international drug syndicates, partly because of its large youth population, although the country has strict drug laws.
