Woman who administered the maximum punishment in a fatal 2024 Leon County Hit And-Run


Tallahassee, Fla. (WCTV)-A Tallahasee woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison for a fatal 2024 hit-and-run.

According to the public prosecutor, Nancy Williams received the maximum penalty for Dui -Totschlance.

It showed that Williams was impaired on the morning of June 27, 2024 when she lost control of her vehicle and hit a 58-year-old man who worked as a surveyor near the Bannerman Road. Williams didn't stop helping the man after beating him.

A vehicle that she pursues behind her at the time of the incident recorded the crash on her Dash camera and, according to the public prosecutor's office, reported.

“The analysis of the defendant's blood would show that the accused was more than twice as high as the legal limit for alcohol consumption,” wrote the public prosecutor in a press release.

Williams applied for 12 years in prison – the lowest permissible imprisonment [Williams’] Previous employment as a nurse, ”said the prosecutor.
