Met Office problems in Great Britain Weather warning for thunderstorms and floods

A low pressure area is set in France because the cool air in the atmosphere presses very warm and moist air near the surface.

This combination makes the atmosphere unstable, with air rising up to form thunderstorms. These storms will initially develop in France before they drive north in the UK.

The heaviest rain will probably affect the Central South England on Friday evening, the southeast of England and the Midlands before moving to Nordland and Scotland on Saturday.

In just a few hours there could be a rain worth one month, which would lead to fall floods. Frequent lightning, large hail and gusty winds are additional dangers that would bring the transport disorder.

This rain area could slowly think about in Northern Scotland on Sunday, with a risk of fall floods.

Low pressure will get the weather under control in Great Britain on Sunday and Monday, with further widespread showers and thunderstorms.
