Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Rashee Rice was due to high -speed crash

Rashee Rice from Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Rashee Rice guilty to accusations that are connected with a high-speed accident in Dallas last year, and approved a 30-day prison sentence, the officials said on Thursday.

Rice will also receive five years of probation because he caused a crash on March 30 of last year when he was at the wheel of a Lamborghini who turned on the shoulder of the North Central Expressway in Dallas.

“I am deeply sorry for the physical damage to person and property,” said Rice in a statement that he has released through his lawyer and his public prosecutor. “I fully apologize for the damage that I have caused innocent drivers and their families.”

Rice was behind the wheel of a Lamborghini and, according to the district prosecutor's office of Dallas, made “several aggressive maneuvers around traffic” at 119 miles per hour.

“This led to a chain reaction that influenced several vehicles,” said prosecutors. “After the collision, Mr. Rice could not check the well -being of the victims and fled on foot.”

He guilty of two crimes, which led to a collision in which a serious assault and races on a highway led to physical injuries.

The decision of this case could open the door for the NFL to raise its own penalty against Rice, who played in just four games last season and scored 24 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns.

In his rookie 2023 season, Rice caught 79 passes for 938 yards and seven points.

Rice, who played on the nearby SMU and was made in the NFL design of 2023 with the overall selection of No. 55, asked the drivers not to follow with lead foot in his steps.

“There were many sleepless nights that thought about the damage that caused my actions, and I will continue to work in my means to ensure that all those affected are made whole,” he said.

“I ask everyone to impair the speed limit, drive safely and drive intelligently.”
