Karl Urban plays Johnny Cage in the sequel film


Johnny Cage has sunglasses and knows how to use them in the first trailer Mortal Kombat II.

Warner Bros. Release Director Simon McQuoid's Sequel Movie in Theaters Oct. 24. Hailing from New Line and Based on the Popular Video Game Franchise That Dates Back to the 1990s, The Film Stars Karl Urban As Johnny Cage, Alongside Adeline Rudolph, Jessica McName, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Tati Gabrielle, Lewis Tan, Damon Herriman, Chin Han, Tadanobu Asano, Joe Taslim and Hiroyuki Sanada.

Mortal Kombat II Centers on the group of rag day fighters who have to defend the earth in front of the evil forces of the outside world. It follows 2021 Mortal Kombatwho restarted the film franchise, which started with the original film from 1995.

In the trailer, Urban is approached by a fan of the show in a bar where Johnny Cage played as an actor in the leading role, and the fan asked for a restart. “Nobody wants that,” replies Urban. “Shit went out in the 90s.”

Later, after Johnny Cage begins to compete against the other fighters, he explains why he doesn't need any special forces: “I am only incredibly good -looking.”

McQuoid led the film from a script by Jeremy Slater, which is based on the video game created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. The producers include McQuoid, Todd Garner, James Wan, Toby Emmerich and E. Bennett Walsh.

The New Line boss Richard Brenner presented the first film material from the film in Cinemacon in April. “Astonishing fights, epic battles and a few deaths await you,” the manager teased at that time.
