Teenager charged in the death of the paddle loader

The police charged a teenager in connection with the murder of a paddleboarder in Union, say officials.

According to Shannon Moss, spokesman for Sunshine Stewart, 48, from tenants Harbor was discovered on July 3 at the Crawford Pond on July 3.

The Chief Medical Examiner office found that the cause of death was for strangulation and blunt force trauma.

On July 16, according to Moss, the state police arrested a 17-year-old man from Maine. The teenager was custody without incidents in the Union and is captured in the Long Creek Youth Development Center in Südportland.

“No additional information will be published at this point,” said Moss.
