Ducks sign goalkeeper Lukas Dostal to five years, $ 32.5 million contract


The goalkeeper and the Anaheim Ducks put a five -year contract on paper on Thursday, the team said.

The deal has an average annual value of $ 6.5 million, reported Elliotte Friedman von Sportsnet.

“I love playing in front of them and living in this community. We are a team at the start,” said Dostal in a video published by the team. “I can't wait to see you in the Honda Center soon.”

The 25-year-old Netminder enjoyed two breakout playing times with the ducks and continues to be the trade of John Gibson to Detroit's Red Wings. In 54 games last season, the native BRNO, the Czech Republic, recorded a percentage of 0.903 and an average of 3.10 goals with a shutout.

“Lukas has proven that he is a goalkeeper No. 1, and we are very happy to complete this deal,” said General Manager Pat Verbek in an explanation. “With his best hockey, he is in the heyday of his career.”

Dostal was selected in the third round, 85. Overall, by the ducks at the NHL design 2018.
