Several houses evacuated, part of the street was closed due to gas leaks in Norman

Norman, Okla. (Koco) – Authorities say that several houses were evacuated in Norman due to a gas leak on Thursday morning.

Officials from the Norman Fire Department informed Koco 5 that the gas leak near Robinson Street and the Berry Road was located and five nearby houses prompted to evacuate.

Part of the Berry Road between the Robinson Street and the Acres Street was closed.

The authorities did not say what the gas leak caused, but construction teams can work along the Berry Road.
