The suspect who was persecuted, the 28-year-old Devin Meyer, was arrested for outstanding arrest warrants, possession of marijuana and persecution of charges.

This chase began near the corner of the Diamond and the California Avenue, which led to South Bend officer Meyer along the Riverside Drive.

It was in a good place where the officer's cruiser rolled over.

This officer was not injured, but was waiting for medical approval to return to the patrol.

Meyer was caught at a petrol station near Brick Road and the Ameritech Drive about 14 minutes later.

Officials said Meyer had been on the department of the department for some time.
