Over 250,000 drivers used Amtrak's Borealis line, says agency, says agency

Amtrak's Borealis line has reached another milestone of the driver.

Less than two months after more than 200,000 drivers, the line exceeded more than 250,000 passengers on the fourth weekend in July, the railway service reported on July 15.

“The Borealis In Wisconsin and our partner states there is still a success story, ”said Kristina Boardman in Wisconsin in a statement on July 15th.

The daily route that Milwaukee's service offers to Chicago and the Twin Cities started in May 2024 and reached more than 18,500 passengers in the first month of service. It reached more than 200,000 passengers within its first year.

What is the Amtrak Borealis route?

The Borealis line has 13 stops and makes Empire Builder between St. Paul and Milwaukee and Hiawatha stops between Milwaukee and Chicago.
